Castner Knott Department Stores served the Nashville area from 1898-1998. Part of Mercantile Stores, the Castner Knott division grew to 13 stores at the time it was sold, covering Nashville, Bowling Green, KY, Florence, AL, Decatur, AL, and Huntsville, AL.

This site is for former associates and vendors of Castner Knott to catch up with each other and preserve a little history. If you have any pictures of the Castner stores, please e-mail them to us or post them in the forum to share with the rest of us!



CASTNER KNOTT REUNION

SUNDAY, JULY 18, 2004

All former associates, their families, and vendors are welcome to join us!

DONELSON CIVITAN BALL PARK
241 Downeymeade Dr
Donelson, TN

Look for balloons and signs on the way to the park. Downeymeade is directly off of Lebanon Pk, the main thouroughfare through Donelson. Mapquest map.

The event begins at Noon and is scheduled to end at 6PM.

Cake cutting at 3:00 PM
Silent Auction closes 4:30 PM

The Civitan Concession Stand will be open with the usual ballpark fare. You are welcome to bring your own picnic lunch.

Bring a lawn chair or two.

No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the park.

Face painting will be available for the kids, as well as a moonwalk for bouncing. Test your strength on the bungee run! Bring some outdoor games. We will not be allowed the use of the baseball diamonds.

Don't forget to bring your camera!!!!!!

Lots of the old CK memoribilia will be available in a silent auction. Proceeds from the auction will be used to offset any costs of the reunion. Any additional proceeds will be donated to a charity (most likely United Way.) Charles Chadwick has some fabulous pictures, old advertising, and other pieces of CK history. Come prepared to bid on your favorite piece.
